I watch quite a lot of You Tube on my TV and last night I watched the latest episode if around the U.K. in a small speedboat. Linked below

And also the latest of Nicks reviews of a monster boat. Also linked below

Both boating but at the 2 ends of the scale cost wise. These demonstrate the huge diversity of this hobby and the vast range of budgets it covers.

watching the two videos I wondered which occupants of the two craft would have the most fun and enjoyment. I know which I would prefer and it is 4 m long

what do others think when it is a choice between the 2 not some combination of the Two :)

If I'm not paying for it, I'll take the big one, with a small one on the back for some thrills when required.

The guy with the 25 M boat in theory money buys choices .
He can in theory do both , but alas in that 25 M there’s currently no tender and it’s storage is a moot point . :)

There are plenty of alternatives i have illustrated in the other thread for suitable toy storage .

A pair of paddle boards on the 25 will be like putting lipstick on a pig ?.

But the small one is not about that (toy on the back of the big one) it is about doing something with a mate, some supplies and a tent an adventure and having fun. It is not at all about luxury. But each to their own of course :)

I've watched Harry's videos since before the round the UK. He's a professional film producer and his filming is excellent.

I know I would go for Goodwin as it can get where the other can't and have more enjoyment.

This episode was funny when the guy got careless with nearly dropping his lifejacket and caught it by the pull cord, setting it off.
His observation was " I thought I'd been shot, it was so loud"

Are you sure he caught it by the Chord or was it the Auto inflate as it hit the water ?

I have enjoyed all of Harry's video's , but you must have noticed they are only done in perfect weather. A 24 metre like the X80 would be great to have but the cost/amount of use ratio seem a bit extreme unless you have extremely deep pockets, and spontaneous trips in the summer ( UK ) could be problematic, (med is obviously different). So i'm happy to stick with a 42 that does most things ok without breaking the bank (y).

If you're going to compare completely different sizes of boats and ask who is having the most fun, you probably ought to compare like for like and show a bigger boat being used, not just toured. I think these guys are having the most fun!

I've now rewatched it carefully. It's hard to figure. He seems to have dunked it earlier as it's dripping in the boat but it doesn't go off until he jumps out of boat, where it doesn't touch water. It's Harry who says "Oh you must have pulled the cord"

I know I am not sure Harry knows that they are probably the sort that Auto Inflate. I think they were given to them Ribeye so I suspect they would have been top of the range

Interesting to see that Harry didn't mention the sea monsters and massive overfalls that inhabit those waters. Think he was lucky to get away alive.

He always seems to go to places where the sea state could be terrible but on his visit it is flat as a witches t*t. I am wondering if this is very careful planning, Luck or he has had more than one attempt but only shows the one that worked ;)
