Some EU laws are just ridiculous..........
Two stroke outboards were banned in order to save exhaust pollution.
Most pleasure outboards use less than 1/4 pint of oil a year, most likely less oil than pouring 1 pint of 4stroke oil in a hedge bottom once a year at service.
Apparently 2 stroke outboards can be sold to commercial users
You would expect a commercial user to use a significant amount of oil if in daily use .
