Well frankly I wouldn't want it if it was being given away. The wells look like a complete bodge job hacked out of the stern by a right butcher and rough as buggery, the photo of the stern with the boat afloat appears to show a chunk of transom GRP missing suggesting a lack of structural reinforcement and a bodged repair, she's floating high on her marks which is a good job too cos if those wells were in the water the drag would be hideous ...

All in all, if you're gonna do this thing that is a VERY good example of what NOT to do!

Have you seen how those wells have been cut? Jinkers...have a look at the full size pics on the website. We joke about your chainsaw Dylan...these have been done with an axe! They are not even remotely symmetrical, and anyone with a degree of engineering savvy knows that a hole in a material which ends in an acute angle is a Bad Thing.

I really hope you get your idea to work, but please do a nicer job than this! However, at least the wells are roughly above the waterline...

Well notwithstanding the workmanship on the example you have shown, I hope you feel humbled by your lack of ambition given you only intend to put one single measly well in your boat to be:)

I can see it now the first 15 knot Centaur,.......... who am i kidding; the first 7 knot Centaur, admittedly the noise would be deafening but seeing a 6ksb up on the plane would be worth the hearing loss.

Actually its not as entirely daft idea as you wouldn't have to do anything with the tiller as the motors would be situated under the cockpit seats either side plus better steerage as the motors legs not in front of the rudder and the bilge keels would protect the outboard legs being situated in line effectively acting as large skegs .....................just a thought.....admittedly not a very cheap or practical one though...........i must go its time for my medicine!

Just goes to show what a difference a good inboard makes to the price. One for sale in Strangford Loch for £13,995. Nice looking boat - the hull lines are very similar to a Mirage 28. Personally I don't like the dinette arrangement or the sail drive but many sailors do.

I don't think any cutting equipment was used at all. The owner started the outboards, dropped them into the wells, and let them find their own way out...
