Hello
I would greatly appreciate any information owners may have about a Beneteau Antares 9 with twin shaft drive engines. Normally this model only has a single engine.
The next model up,9.8, has twin shafts but the size and price jump is hefty.
Thanks...

I did have a look at a used example when we bought ours, conclusion was, engine bay far too crowded for maintenance, loss of prop protection provided on the single version and insufficient speed increase to warrant them, one good one is enough for a 9

Many thanks for your comments.
The reason for the twin engines was for steering and backup should one fail.
It rather looks like the larger boat as I will be maintaining it myself and SWMBO has been persuaded that twin engines offers more security.
Sealine up for sale and the hunt for a replacement starts.
