On our boat, a 2006 Corvette 320, the rudders have a noticeable "toe in". Having researched the web much professional advice is to the effect that this is beneficial to improve tracking and also to avoid tie rod vibration etc. I am familiar with outdrive toe in and on our previous boat the Kamewa water jet nozzles were toed in a few degrees.

However, having looked around our marina today (Hamble Point) I could not find any boat with toe in rudders (planning and semi displacement) and outdrives were similarly parallel.

What is the experience of Forum Members?

Need to see a decent pic really -could end up "squabbling "about hull form agian here ?

Mine are parallel off set a few inches to one side of the the props .There is a central internal rudder bar inside the transom
With a massive hydraulic ram - .Just smooth ,vib free action .
They are or seem to me very streamlined /hydrodynamic and the post is asymmetric ,ie not in the middle .
Seen others in the yard ,look like plane pieces of sheet steel in profile , generally pararell .
