Hi All,

Noticed a twin engine D3-190 Sealine S29 with 479 hours on engine 1 but 783 hours on engine 2. I haven't made contact with the seller yet but curious on thoughts why there would be such a difference? Likely an engine change I'm guessing.

If it's the stbd engine could also be single engine displacement cruising (the engine with the steering servo pump on it and normally hot water calorifier too)

You could check the engine numbers on the original paperwork.

On my last two , twin engine boats , engine hours were slightly different.
However on that amount you could suspect engine or more likely tachometer containing hours display has been changed.
If VDO meters, they are notorious for the hours LED display failing It is cheap simple job to DIY repair and retain hours details but the entire unit may have been replaced and hours would start from zero again.
The recorded hours are not always dependant on the engine actually running, but when key is turned to first postion it activates hours meter.

Or maybe it had a new ecu ?

If the boat is okay it is probably sold by now.
A S34 advertised yesterday at a high price was sold on the day.

More likely to be something electronic replaced ?
A new engine would have been a good selling point and likely to have been mentioned in sales details.
