This Kogan tv i'm wiring in says, 'input 12v 3A'. Is that just straight to the boat switch panel but with a 3A fuse?
regarding the fuse this should as said be at least 5 amps which then implies that the cabling should be able to carry 5 amps without getting hot. good luck olewill
I have just bought a Samsung tv which operates on 14 volts can anyone recommend an adaptor that would take 12v to 14v I have had a look at some laptop chargers on eBay but unsure what to buy
Have you tried it on 12V?

I've got a Samsung 14V Smart TV, and can't find a pin that fits, apart from the pin on the AC adaptor. I also can't find a adapter that will take 12V and convert it to 14V.
At present I've got it plugged into a 300W inverter which is plugged into a 12V socket.
Having written this, I could buy a second AC adapter, remove the plug and fit it to a 12V adapter, and see if it works on 12V.
..... I also can't find a adapter that will take 12V and convert it to 14V.
.
Maybe there is a laptop PC 12v convertor that will provide the 14V you are looking for?
This is one example, though I guess there will be lots of variants around. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Car-Charg...TOSHIBA-SATELLITE-PRO-L450D-14V-/370639892279
