If I remember correctly he had done river boating for 3 years - too scared to go out to sea. Then sets up a charter business in the middle of no where, no bolt holes so has to come back to port for lunch with his clients. More money than sense.

already has from last night's showing.

Perceptions to date -
(1) let me see I am the boss, I have the blond, big car, nice little car, 2 kids, big house, concerned about me (I deserve it).........must get a big powerboat.
(2) work hard as teacher, civil servant, social worker, no money, small rented house, concerned about the environment, need something for the few spare hours I have to myself a year..........must get a small sailboat.

Of course we all know it's not like that really.

I'm confused by the 'Aylesbury' reference.

Is this because it is land locked ( almost the furthest point from the sea ) or a reference to an individual hailing from that area ?

Wish I had seen the programme.

Cheers.
(I Confess, I don't live too far away).

Or listening to Antonys witless prattle for the duration of their voyage. I heard Antonys wife has gone into hospital for an operation to have her Hearing removed.

I am sorry but I saw a different programme.

Mr was cleary concerned about quality of life and his family but driven by his partners aims and asperations in the material world. That he found himself out of his depth in anything beyond rubber mats should not be considered his fault IMHO of course.

He simply set out to please

I think you must have done, did you nip out for a cup of tea and miss half the program?

Boat\'s Name

"Res Ipsa" if I remember correctly. From my schooldays, a literal translation would be "things thus" I think. However I suspect that it's idiomatic and actually translates as "I am a plonker, with more money than sense"

Re: Boat\'s Name

Chappie in the programme translated it as "Speaks for Itself". Much like the programme...

Re: Boat\'s Name

Their website is http://www.resipsamarinecharters.com. Definitely a 2 cabin F42/5 (seems a bit of a odd choice for chartering - I guess they really didn't think about it much).
