This? Westerly Tempest 31 archive data - Yachtsnet Ltd. online UK yacht brokers - yacht brokerage and boat sales Love it! Thats a great designed interior. Get rid of the v-berth and you can keep watch from the crapper if needs be . Shaft drive. Easy sail storage at the foredeck. The enclosed spray hood looks great on this one, make a seat for the companionway, bit of warm air coming up from the cabin heating... Thats a flipping good boat
That's the one! lol... bilge keel version.

Sailing single-handed... many times i've gone down for a pee... with my head poking out of the hatch in the heads watching for lobster pots etc! :ROFLMAO:

I had a dutch MOBO with the head in the vee and its a great place for it. V berths are usually rubbish as the main cabin anyway, no foot space, too bouncy at sea, but if you do use the V and company comes and uses the toilet inches from your head in the quite of night can be pretty awkward. Having the head at the opposite end from the accommodation is much more civilised and comfortable. Having opening windows on both sides for a through draft as well. Genius.

Is there cockpit storage as well? Looks like aft end of the seats there are locker lids. Single handing I'd prefer fenders and warps at that end. With crew could be nice letting them do all that from the front locker. Its a brilliant design for a 31ft yacht. Surprised not more designs followed the lead.

The cockpit storage isn't great... Starboard locker holds two gas bottles and the port side one has ropes and fishing gear. The cockpit area at the companionway has a temporary platform that can be fitted to keep fenders! (y)

It's definitely only a coastal cruiser (although previous owners have sailed to the Baltics) but you get alot for just 9.32m!

Sometimes you can keep your mast up...
Indeed - but that might be problematic in the Forth & Clyde canal.

The fenders can live on the wide side decks much of the time if you're not too fussy. People regularly do ocean sailing in that size boat still I'm sure. One thing though is there sound insulation between the 2 cabins? I guess with the engine running it'll be pretty loud in there but at anchor how is the snoring protection between cabins?

I've never had a snorer stay on the boat! one of the rules! :ROFLMAO: ... It is just a piece of wood between the two cabins... I've heard that some owners have removed it to make one big cabin! lol
