these Yamaha engines are based on a Toyota car engine blok,
you could asc at a Toyota garage, or show them your turbo,
(I'm note shure if they are interchangeable)

Ignore comments that engine is automotive unit, Toyota build the whole unit 1HD-FT as a marine motor, just based on the 4.163 cc 6 pot block. Yamaha/Yanmar and Nanni all the same base motor and turbochargers the same Mitsubishi marine unit I think??

Yanmar price for turbo used to be about $4,000 in US and Yamaha charged about $6,000 for the same unit.

Last time I needed one Turbo Dynamics http://www.turbodynamics.co.uk/contact-us/ had units on the shelf less than £1,700 exchange.

What is the problem with the old unit??
