Turbo failure - Yanmar 4JHTE

Fascinating having the subtleties and technical intricacies of designexplained here by contributors sharing their speciality. Forum @best?

On a frivolously note, and for the likes of a prosaic spanner monkey like me, I think there is a case for adding ‘ Old Turbo’ to that Naval Officer, Umbrella and Wheelbarrow list!
Too subtle for me - care to decode - my crypto keys are way out of date.?

Oh,sorry. It’s a VERY old joke/adage /snidey quip: the three least useful items on a sailing boat were said to be a naval
officer , a brolly and a barrow.
Anyone know the origins ??

Just a quick update and clarification of my original post which may now be well forgotten in the amazing tidal currents that beset this thread.

First of all, I am not the owner of the vessel, just a You Tube viewer, and just seeking to help the owner.

The engine is not as described at the title, and it is actually a 4JH2-TE (only determined today),which is a matter of detail but an important one. I can confirm that while Land Rover do sometimes have turbos and some do not, it has no bearing (pun) on the matter in hand.
