I am trying to replace the batteries in my 1982 Fairline Turbo 36 (2 x 235hp diesel)but am having difficulty fiinding suitable replacements, both in amperage and physical dimensions because there are four situated in a tight box between engines.
The batteries on board appear to have no name but carry the tags

Heavy Duty 655 EIN Equivalent 62512
125 Amp Hour

Can anyone help with where I can locate suitable replacements or what I should be asking for, please?

Fraid Furneaux not quite so good these days with much less stock. Trojan batteries are available from Lucas, who are just around the corner.

655 is the model number....

They are standard truck batteries. 655 is the model number. You can check the size, etc, on the battery specification page of the Yuasa website. Note that the Yuasa-branded version of the 655 is a higher spec than their unbranded 655. Yuasa is a good make - they sell under the Yuasa, Lucas, Tungstone, Oldham, Crompton brand names as well as selling unbranded batteries. You should be able to get them from any good battery supplier.
