Tuff Luff Foil, Gap at The Deck End Question.

There's always a gap at the bottom end of the foil so the jib can be inserted and hoisted plus there's space needed for a prefeeder. On say a 15m hoist what would would the forum think would be the maximun workable gap before there would be an issue with loose jib luff please?
