Tube heater ampage.

I have two tube heaters that came with the boat but I don’t know the wattage of them other than one is 1200 long and other 900. There’s a sticker 48/07 and 50/07.
I have an ink bird digital thermostat which I’ll connect to two tube heaters but its for 10amp max. Is this safe to use?
Last year I connected it to an oil rad but my leccy bill was huge.

10A would permit say 2.3kW-2.4kW load, I expect the two heaters would be less than that and a resistive load so that should be OK.

Do you have an AC Amp Meter on your boat? If so, read the amps, then plug in one heater and then the other and take note of the rise in current. Amps x Volts will give you the Power but all you would want is the increase in amps to ensure its less that 10A.

Are they greeenhouse / anti frost tube heaters, or something to heat a room properly.

If the former they are generally only around 50W per 30cm, so not much more power than an old lightbulb.

I was thinking 60W per foot so in the same ball park.
But .......... a fairly new tubular heater (from screwfix I believe) is 1 foot long and rated 40W.

I would expect your 1.2 m to be to be 60 watts. IxV=W, So current will be 60/240 (ish). So .25 amps.
