Alert visitors to Shotley will notice the For Sale sign up on Stargazer.....

Not an easy decision, but we're facing a loss of a chunk of my income (we're putting the company through a Liquidation process), with a consequent period of financial uncertainty.

As Arnie said, "I'll be back"

cheers all

John

Neil,

Sorry not to have mentioned this when we met at Shotley the other week, but it was all just coming to a head at that point in time.

hope the lift-in goes OK

John

John, Although we have not met, we have probably passed on the river. Sorry to hear this.

If it is any help a friend has recently put his company through a liquidation that effectively solved his short term cash flow, allowed him to get the company back on it's feet, pay everyone off and become profitable again. It seemed to make a huge difference which liquidation company he went with, some just wanted to strip assets, the one he chose really helped to save the business.

Anyway, good luck!

Thanks for all your cheery comments.

It's hopefully not a major financial crisis; I'm not a director of the company, and have not given any guarantees. So unless something nasty happens, it's only (!) a loss of the initial investment and the salary.

I'm lucky to have a couple of lines of work, so we're not without money coming in. However, filling the gap will involve more freelance work, with it's erratic nature.
After chewing it over, we decided the prudent course would be (sadly) to try to sell the boat.
