Anyone going to the Thames Traditional Boat Rally this weekend?

The Star Craft seem to have taken up residence (well they were there last week for the Festival.

Fly by - by the remnants of the BofB flight,
Boat 102,
and I'm sure several of the Little Boats.
A devotee of those nice Stewart Turner engines, a much better fate that as an anchor.

I'm planning to go by boat single handed (a first), so perhaps you'd better stay away...

I'll be there (Straight Across), was intending going tonight but will leave until tomorrow now. Trouble with wooden boats, after a spell of hot weather the leaks over the bunks start again!

I was

...camping and everything BUT unfortunately other commitments mean I cant .

Do pop in and say hello to Peter Willis on the Classic Boat stand, and of course pick up your latest issue! Joking aside the latest issue has several truly excellent post little ship reports from last month.

I'm there from this afternoon til Monday. No trad boat yet though...

I had a nice little dream about getting Gelyce off Peter Freebody, refurbishing and gliding up and down the course. Then I woke up...

what a beautiful boat, and I remember when she was in A1 condition. How these wooden boats change so quickly.

I think she's a Camper and Nicolson yacht tender. Absolute beauty.

Would be nice if she has a good future...

Sister ship

Take a look at the sisiter ship that won Best in Show 2 years ago, restored by Alistair Garland, I believe. Forget the name for the moment, but share your dreams.
Hope for another wonderful weekend of steam, varnish and brass and just shere beauty and style.
