I have seen a plastic vane that fits below the prop of an outboard. It protects the prop when beaching as the vane hits first. I cannot find what this vane is called and so where to buy one. Has anyone seen one?
Any help apreciated

I think what you're looking for is something that looks like a wing attached to the skeg. When I ordered some filters etc for my engine for Keypart in Watford, they enclosed a leaflet for these items.

article in MBM a few months to a year ago about fitting one to the o/b on the tender of their test boat, poss. should find it in the archive, if only you know what to search for... US thing, if I remember.

What you are looking for is a thing called Hydravane, I didnt like the way it fits to the skeg tho, I had a set of doel-fins on and outboard many moons ago and one side of the cavitation plate broke off. so i am always waryabout fitting things like these.
