I have an F33 fitted with Merc.220hp with bravo 2 outdrives. The last 10 years i have never bothered with bad weather and recently half of my trips are on the way back in the dark. Have you ever tried helming a sportboat through a wet windscreen on a wet night? No problems healming a small flybridge less your crew move about after you have set the trim. Best only to have 3 up on the flybridge in windy weather as the boat will heal into the wind at speed {about 30 knots pos. with clean suspension] but this can easily be trimed with the tabs. With my set up i rarely have to use the trims to get up on the plane unless my mates are all sat on the very stern which is something not possible on a sportboat. I find my 33 to be ideal for me in sunny or wet weather, at least you have the choise. Now swimbo doesent come down anymore its my little shed by the sea.
