Trusty 21 - who has one ??

Just bought one at the end of last year but have not got it in the water yet. It is only 4 years old with low hours on it.
Just wondering who else has one and what do they think.
I hear they are quite good in bad weather, is that true?
Hopefully the frugal engine will make up for the loss of cheap diesel although I may be tempted to keep using my tractor stuff and kid on I have to visit the islands just offshore to feed sheep. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Oh, PS: can't help with your question(s) but I suspect she'll suffer from the same limitations of all small motor vessels operating in exposed waters - she'll be great, just that the crew may suffer a bit! (on say, a trip out to Canna in a fresh south wester...)!

Cheap diesel? I know nothing about that!

The builder is Blue C Marine in Worcestershire.
He said he could build a cheaper version if required probably without all the bells and whistles.

There are usually a few secondhand ones about if you look. I got mine from near Portsmouth. There is a much older verison from 1984 very near to us and looks exactly the same but I have not seen it in the water yet, it is inside undergoing a slow refurbishment.
Certainly hope to go to Canna in it and will try and pick our day carefully !!

Had mine for last couple of years. Feels a very safe boat (for its size) Probably limited more by how comfortable you feel rather than sea state. Get around 2 litres per hour on average (40hp Yanmar)

That sounds great so even if we have to use Road Diesel in the future it is not going to break the bank at GBP#2.00 an hour to run it /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif
I think even my old Seagull costs more to run that that, by the time you buy the 2 stroke oil and all
