So how do we now get Pisces up to his first 100 post?
I believe that wind should be expressed in terms of the direction it's going TO not FROM.

Agree, cheap n' cheerful is the way to go. Incidentally, no-one has mentioned the main benefit of having a wind instrument - it saves you getting a crick in the neck squinting up at a masthead pointer!

It's certainly an oddity that the conventions for describing direction of wind and tide are opposite. Anyone know why?
