Late but at last you can check the pictures showing all the flaws my Bavaria 38 had as posted under Troubles (1), (2), (3) with Bavaria 38. Visit my website still under construction: http://brunohamm.googlepages.com/home
The anchor windlass appears to have been bolted through a thin grp locker moulding with no reinforcement other than washers under the bolts, was it factory fitted or added by an owner at a later date? Seems inevitable that it would rip out sooner or later.
I wondered whether this had something to do with it,you cant reasonably hang a boat off a mooring line no matter what it is attached to ?
''Five hours later my yacht was suspended on the mooring ropes leaning thirty degrees to port, because the tide had run out and I was stuck in the mud. I emptied all ''
Definitely one of sailings characters!

it's not a lawyer you need , more like a psychiatrist and counsellor judging by your website

Did you check the Link "Bruno's Second but not last Yacht . Troubles with Bavaria"? Read that link and tell me afterwards if you still think I need counselling!
Please read carfully! May be "suspended" was not exactely the proper expression. But a yacht can be suspended sideways, leaning 30 degrees and beeing stuck in the mud!
You can tell by some of these posts, that theyve all bought the same green coloured jackets......Well id like to sail where he has like the rest of us... /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
Quite entertaining. But why tell the whole world about all the bad calls you made:
Wont comment on the wife but everybody knows that Bavaria's are not made for serious blue water sailing. Even the price tag screams info that at you already.
Brought back a few memories of days of yore working on ships. Shoooooosh the present wife don't know...........We have people like that greedy Shipping Agent here as well, we call the Lawyers!
