I see it as the other way around. Before the lounge was created, far more joviality went on in the main three boating forums, and the balance has, long term, gone from fun, frivolity and joviality, to mainly boating on those forums

So .. should this post thread be in the Lounge then?
Thank you, I am not a troll, just naieve.
I scour the site through hours of insomnia, learning allsorts of tips and hints. I have bought a Contessa 26 which I spend all my spare daylight hours restoring,
Doing all the work myself means I read all I can from others who may have experienced similar issues.
One major problem I have is in following posts, I go off sailing for a day or two and when I get back, there are hundreds of new post and I cant find the ones I have contributed to.
Okay, just proved my stupidity here, this was supposed to come up as a reply to a thread, but I must have pressed the wrong button.
I actually only discovered the difference between threads and posts tonight, but I am not sure If I have it right yet....
Quickest way to find the threads that you have contributed to after you've been away is to do a search for your username, which brings up a list of your postings.
I think it happens on every site forum - just had a metaphorical thumping - and cliques - dont tell me about cliques - right old nuisance. Quite intimidating at times. Makes me wonder why I bother. Site is funny, though ... then, so is this one hehe.
