Hi Guys

I'm looking to purchase a Trintella 42, they strike me as a well built yacht with beautiful lines and lots of horse power for a medium to heavy displacement yacht,
Can any owners out there or like tell me what to look out for at survey, I would also like to know the hull and deck construction and hull to deck join etc
Also there is a little box tucked right at the aft base of the mast ... any ideas what this was?
There isnt much info available on them on the inter- web it seems but I would love to find a review or boat test etc

Thanks in advance

Another bump. Expect the lack of response is for the same reason you can't find much on the Web. There are very few in existence and the chances of anybody active on this forum owning one are very small. The builder is still in existence in Holland so this may be your best bet.

I own a Trintella 44. Just in the middle of major refurbishment. It's in bits at the moment. In paint shop for topsides and coppercoat, re rigging masts, refurbishing portlights, rebuilding steering, and a million other jobs. They are built like battleships. Never seen so much teak.

I am looking at one too. I want to complete a circumnavigation and there are few boats which truly qualify.

The usual reasonably priced suspects are HR, Amel, Hylas, Tayana, some Van den Stadt and Trintellas. Then there are the out of this world priced things like Baltic and Najad.

Anne Wever is a fabulous builder. Finest interior fit I've ever seen.

I have a Trintella 42 (1988) here in the UK and have owned her for about 7 years. Please PM me if you would like to discuss anything about the boat (I have been very impressed with her)
