Cunningly named thread to catch attention.... but this may just be anoraky

West Knoll and the Mid Knoll have been moved.

West Knoll (the first red can entering) is shown in the Debenpilot chartlet today as set at 51.58.290N 001.23.537E. Trinity House have notified today that it is moved to 51.58.272N 001.23.433E. I estimate that is 0.07nm 254T (or 425.33ft approx)
Mid Knoll (the green one) is shown in the Debenpilot chartlet today as set at 51.58.625N, 001.23.349E. Trinity House have notified today that it is moved to 51.58.571N, 001.23.346E. I estimate that is 0.05nm 182T. (that's 303.81ft approx).

Already following this up.
We gather that a new Trinity House survey has been done, so we should be able to have a new Imray chartlet available at the ECP website in a few days.
Local opinion is that there may be significant changes this winter, the banks are on the move...

The Holly tree at home has more berries on than I've ever seen on a tree - a reliable indication of a tough winter ahead, shifting Deben banks maybe the least of our worries.

A new Deben entrance chartlet is now available to download from the ECP website. No new survey has been done, but the new buoy positions and bearing lines are shown.
If in doubt about pilotage through the entrance, do call John White for advice.

I was out on the Deben entrance about a week ago in my little Rib and I was amazed by how far the buoys had moved.
