My son has a Crownline boat, and the dial that tells you the trim position of the motor sticks. When he taps it a few times it moves.Any suggestions?

Not really, but I think you need to find who makes the trim reader, coz it wont be Crownline.
Most are electronic with the sensor on the leg, so where is he tapping ? Is it an LCD readout for example?

Are you sure it's a trim tab indicator ? (unusual, but I had one and they work well) Sounds more like a an outdrive trim position indicator. If it is a Faria gauge, well, their gauges are known for sticking; they do a very good lifetime warranty replacement service though ( but you have to get it to the US; I was on holiday there and posted my tachometer to them using USPS for $8. they send the new one back to me in the UK for the standard price).
