Odd thing today. For long periods of our day at sea, we had no indication of either leg trim position or paddle speed. The figures are displayed variously on LCDs in the centre of traditional dials or through the Simrad display. The log is a transducer, so the indication of zero had nothing to do with weed etc. The outdrive was visually checked and functioning across the speed range – it was only the indication of the trim position that was absent: it read zero whenever the log speed was zero. The funny thing was that every time the pedal speed suddenly registered (whenever it did it appeared accurate), the trim indicator would also show and respond correctly to varying positions of the leg on both dials and Simrad. As soon as the log speed fell back to zero, the trim would read zero on dials/Simrad. Any ideas please?!
