Hi,

Chandlery advised today no Trilux antifoul paint is for sale by them as it has now been discontinued. However replaced by international cruiser 200, any one with experience of cruiser 200 on stern drives ?

Thanks

I’ve just painted mine with Cruiser 200 and hopefully will be launched next week, will keep a eye on it
Previously used Trilux

That's a shame... I really like Trilux and it seems to stay effective for long time - a lot longer than some of the other more annual paints.
I'd like to think Cruiser 200 will be an improved Trilux but I'm old enough to know better!:)

I've also found that where I am moored in the marina makes a massive difference too.
I was very close to the entrance gate for a few years and got a lot of growth even when the paint was new - was quite frustrating.

I was moved this year to another slot much further in, well away from where the water rushes in and the growth on the hull has almost stopped completely (summer and autumn).
I guess the activated water pouring in every day encourages weed growth and contains lots of micro-organisms compared to the more settled water further back from the entrance.
Either way happy the hull now looks clean every time I go down to see the boat

Was told it’s the Trilux replacement, £89 for 2.5 litres purchased, relaunch is due first week January so hopefully warms up a bit before then to get it on. I used to paint the props with Trilux but cruiser 200 says not for props so might need to find alternative prop antifoul aswell.

Seajet 034 I mentioned earlier can be applied to the Outdrive and Props.

I emailed International paints to see if cruiser 200 would have any adverse effects on trilux 33 already being applied and they got back to me saying no it was compatible

I am interested in this product, sadly not takers for you question. Maybe it's too new for any comments
Same here, ticks a few boxes for me, except it seems to be completely untested, can't find any reviews of it online at all. Anyone on here tried it??

If I had not just applied new Seajet antifoul on Saturday I might have considered the 021. I just went with the same as last time without considering alternatives.
Why don't you give it a go and report back after say a year?

I spoke to the Seajet UK distributor technical guy yesterday about 021 EKO. There are some positive reviews coming out soon for the product apparently, but when I told him I race the boat and would want to scrub the bottom 2-3 times a year he warned me off it as apparently it's designed to erode and this would shorten the life considerably. He recommended 034 emperor which is designed to be scrubbed, but of course it's more expensive and contains biocides.
Think I am now down to choosing between Inter Offshore EU hard racing or 034 Emporer.
Hempel hard racing in white would be the other choice but there's some negative comments on here since they added the texcel to it and you can't get it without anymore (in white).
