Trident Warrior 38/40

I have a featherstream that I upgraded to 19 inch and after 9 months I can safely say it was an excellent purchase. It drives the boat well and when the saildrive is locked it feathers and allows the boat to romp along.

I moved from a jeanneau to my Warrior 40 and I have to say that my average cruising speed is now way up over 7 knots and my top speed so far comfortably close to 13 knots and before anyone tells me my log was overreading I checked it as I could not believe it either. My boat surfs like a jumbo jet skateboard and I can even keep my coffee mugs full in the cockpit - video on the blog. Poole to Alderney is now a relaxing sail and normally with lots of daylight left to enjoy!

Would not change a thing.

Yep, I have a Warrior (35), sailed from UK to the Med, Red Sea, Indian Ocean......and now in Borneo. Good boat, has looked after me well in some rough conditions!

Surely the Warrior 35 - a good boat, I think an Angus Primrose design, despite that slim and low - is very different to the much later Warrier 40 ?

Correct on all counts. Just saying they are good sea boats and the 38/40 would meet the OP's criteria very well.
