On sunday when I was 'locking up' I noticed that over the w/e one of the small locking catches on the for'd hatch was broken(ish). It snapped off completely when I tried to lock it.........Blast and dammit!
Yesterday afternoon I call the Co that makes these, and lots of other nice stuff for boatbuilders, and asked for some tech advice on what to do.
Nice chap said ' Oh I know the lock - you do not have to replace the whole handle - I will send you a couple of spares.
This morning they arrived with spare internal springs and bearings etc. FOC
That is what I call service - excellent that all our major British BoatBuilders use this Co.
Now, all I have to do is fit the wee beasty without loosing all the bits.......
Just thought I would post a happy story iso the misery and complaints that are the norm.
