Treating and filtering diesel

I got one of these some time ago and found the flow very small and in fact the filter blocked up very quickly.

I went for one of the jabsco gear pumps and fitted an inline plastic fuel filter from a motor factor in the outlet side. worked very well and with less split fuel.

I filled up all my diesel tanks with 1800 liters in no fine at all.

I had the same problem - even with clean fuel, the Racor funnel (similar) was so slow it just dripped, I don't know why, the gauze appeared to be clean.

What size of in line fuel filter did you fit?

I just went into my local filter supplier and asked for an plastic inline filter to fit I think 8 mm hose.

I may have more details at home will look tonight.

What size of in line fuel filter did you fit?

the funnels come in 4 different sizes depending on the ammount you are looking to transfer. if it appears to be passing through too slowly try using one of the smaller ones as the pressure will allow the fuel to pass much quicker.
