I've always used (Blakes) deck paint. Non slip, comes in any colour you like and only needs touching up every 5 years or so on a sound surface. Looks more "boaty" than all those industrial-looking bits of textured lino, IMHO.
I have no personal experience, but our friends in Oz and the USA occasionally refer to a product used to coat pick-up truck flatbeds. A sort of self-levelling rubber compound.
Sorry I can't give a trade name, but I never chased this myself as my deck in canvas on wood. Maybe some of our chums from the colonies can oblige.
Another of like mind!... The Cornish think its its fair game to rip off grockles..so if you come up with something, would love to know...Have had a look @ TBS, which is a little better value (used on Etaps etc.) but not to sure whether there is UK distributor. There has got to be some Industrial flooring variety out there somewhere!.. Regards Tony W

Whitby & Chandler Marine Flooring ( 01226 370380) do a Treadmaster lookalike, very close to the original. Priced at £28/sheet dropping by stages to £21 for volume. Colours Blue, Green,Black, Natural & Cream. And, they are very helpful people to boot.
NB. I have no connection with them, nor have I tried the product but I will do soon.
Check out www.seadek.com. Its a new soft nonskid, I helped a friend do his Irwin 34.....looks very good and the benefit of a soft deck on your feet and knees is outstanding.
