Dear ECF-ers,

We are down to travel from Somerset to Tollesbury for a sail to Bradwell in company this weekend (!) and planned to leave tomorrow.

This is currently under review

Would be grateful if locals could provide us with a precis of travel and general conditions round M25/A12/Essex sort of way.

Thankyouverymuch

Went from home to Brightlingsea this morning - usually takes 1hr 10, took 2 hours. A12 Ardleigh Interchange bad as was A120. Only took 1hr 30 to get home.

Supposed to be driving to Cambridge this evening but under review.

Forecast for Friday is colder still so the snow that has melted will freeze! Is a sail to Bradwell worth it?

Took me 6 and a half hours on Tuesday evening to go from Hampshire to West Mersea. Normally a 2 hour journey. Today the weather is worse! Has been snowing lightly all morning and still going and expected to go on until tonight. We have had one gritter in three days here and I would expect Tollesbury is the same. No buses running between here and Colchester at the moment and about 4" of snow on the ground. No thaw expected tomorrow.

I'd find something else to do!

It has been snowing pretty steadily here at Pin Mill all day, and heavily since 2pm. We walked over to the Yacht Club for lunch today as we didn't want to even try taking the car up the lane!

Grand walk good lunch, now home again for tea and crumpets in front of the fire. :D

Well they are struggling to get up Ashingdon Hill now. I had a hoot playing Stig Blomquist up Canewdon Road sideways tonight.

Pity I haven't got a Metro 6R4.

too far south for your real interest, but a2 down to one lane crossing by M25 and a complete white out. so much so that I completely lost my bearings and missed my exit... and the next one.....what an idiot.:o

Well done ;)

Conditions look ideal for prototyping the new winter thermal version of ChattingL'ils "anti-Drysuit"...?
