Travel advice Antibe

They park on the beach NE of the fort Vauban .
I have a pass to drop the bollards in the “ ramparts “ area ,but I would be guillotined by the locals letting a camper van through - sorry.

As it happens I take the bus or train from Nice Airport to Monaco and back most trips. Stops right outside the office !

Helicopters are not for me due to an ‘ incident ‘a few years ago coming back from Monaco.

Public transport is surprisingly good if

They are not on strike
The traffic is light
You can get on the bus
They stop when you want them to stop
You have the right change (airport bus)

Enjoy !

Yes but if you've had a aviation incident, and not fied, the probability of having another one is incredibly slender. So from a rational standpoint, you're good to fly :encouragement:

I don't get jimmy's maths on probability but let's not go too OT. He and I can argue that one out after some beers :D

You can't park camper on iyca. No frigging way

You could park in the main car park and/or mole sud if you keep low profile, and tcm and another mate have done this. But the security patrol is every 30 mins so you would have to have lights out/silence. Bit like a wartime movie

Porto is on the money. - you can park a camper van on the gravel beach just NE of fort carre, which is the star shaped fort to NE of port vauban. Lots of camper vans there.

I don't have a camper van btw. (Well ... I suppose I do have a chunky Winnebago without wheels)

I'm in antibes now btw if anyone needs information from the scene of the crime.

I understand your theoretical point about strict probabilities. Nevertheless the beers are a good idea... :encouragement:

At least it wont get stolen and driven away.

Made the trip to Antibes last week. I had decided to get off the plane and then decide which method of transport to use for journey to Antibes. Funny thing happened bumped into old friend who had hired a car and was going to exactly the same moorings in Antibes.
Thought I had found a cheap method of transport for trip back to airport but they would not let me out the marina gate
So took your advice JTB and took the 250 bus from behind station back to the Airport, Along day but mission accomplished.

For anyone interested in classic boats there is plenty of information on the internet about Malahne including a video of the interior (google Malahne Dubrovnik Times.
Thank you to all who offered transport advice.
