We re considering a mooring in Licata or Ragusa.
Is there a regular bus service from those marinas to the airport of Catania? Someone who has the knowledge of time tables? It will be in the month of June.

Ragusa .. You need to catch the bus to ragusa town first ,
Licata ... There was a bus straight from the town at less there was last year .

If your plain is to fly back to the UK the nearest airport to ragusa is Comiso

Hope it helps

From/to Marina di Ragusa, there is a direct service, but it's very infrequent.
From MdR to Catania: 0545 hrs and 1030 hrs. Approx 2 hrs journey time.
Catania to MdR: 1410 hrs and 1810 hrs.
This is during the week, I think they only do the earlier bus on weekends.

It often works out better to travel via Ragusa.
This is the timetable between Marina di Ragusa and Ragusa:

There's an almost hourly service between Ragusa and Catania. You can get the full timetable from http://www.interbus.it

If you can fly to Comiso instead, it's far closer. Ryanair have a regular flight from Stansted, Mondays and Fridays throughout the year, and also Wednesdays during the holidays.

At present, there is no bus service that coincides with the Ryanair flight from Stansted, which gets in at 2030 hrs. However, there was up until the beginning of January, and I'd imagine it'll kick in again during the summer.

The timetables can vary and are often tweaked each month.
The Catania services stop at the airport.

Search the timetable from Licata - Catania (Fontanarossa) at http://www.interbus.it (cant post a link as it has a square bracket that breaks the formatting on here). 7 direct buses a day, much the same at weekends, takes about 2:15 starting at 0500. The marina are very happy to run you to the bus station, 10-15 min walk, even for the 0500 bus. They'll pick up from the bus station too

Thanks for al the useful information.
But as a side question is the fouling in Licata still bad. We are considering to take a mooring for one year in the water and as far as I know there is no possibility to store the boat on the hard.

The marina has no hard standing, but there are 2, maybe 3, yards just around the corner. One has a brand new fully-working travel hoist. Sorry I can't help you with prices, as it's not something I have looked into. I am going round on Monday to help lifting a mate's boat, I can ask if you can give me the relevant details.

The fouling is bad.
