Transport from the Med- Prices

Hi, I’m looking at a boat for sale in Spain and I will need to truck it back to Ireland. I was wondering if anyone might have an idea of how much prices have risen over the last few weeks given the big increase in fuel costs, etc.
I have requested quotes from a few companies so I will see what comes back.

C2C were down here in Torrevieja last week. Quoted £5400 for return load to Portsmouth. They said they are having to route via Santander/Bilbao to avoid France at the moment, so maybe prices wouldn't be very different for Ireland.

I unfortunately had to pay for a one way through France and it was a LOT more than that. That’s the difference the return makes. However I thought there was a 4m limit in Spain and not the 4.6m in France.

C2C's main gripe about France was that they are insisting on a Bond of 5 per cent of the boat's value - and who pays it!

Yes - 32ft flybridge, but they had a full size load down so the return was priced on the trailer size more than the boat size. In the end, they returned with a 40ft Sealine.

Who / what is the bond for and who values the boat?

Apparently it's to make sure the boat transits the country and isn't sold in France. Don't know who values the boat. Just what the C2C guy told me.
