There has been a change of law in Turkey in obtaining and filling out the Transit Log.
The Transit Log has now to be purchased from the 'Chamber of Shipping' Where also a tonnage tax is paid 0-50 tonnes 48TL and the cost of the Transit Log is another 50TL Next one has to find an agent, before one could carry out all stamps etc oneself, This is where the con starts! There seems to be no government approved charge. In Fethiye for example there are 4 approved agents, one charging 50TL another 100TL ( about £40) another 75 Euros and another $100
This has to be paid on arrival and again on exit, so shop and ask around!

While I was in Turkey during May & June lots of changes were made to the regulations in the Mugla district, but not apparantly elsewhere, and I suspected that a lot of it was being made up on the spot with no basis in law. It will be interesting to see if it changes again.
