I've just purchased a 43footer in the Netherlands and transported it to Spain, didn't get much change out of 10k! So it's got to be at least 5k, if you have got all the required nav equipment on board why don't you bring it down yourself? Or hire a professional skipper to do it? Got to be cheaper.
good Luck

Had this guy move a 30 ft boat a few weeks ago, very fair price knew what he was doing and had the correct kit.

Worth getting a price from him Chris Barwick 07709 255385 / 01354 610521

Not connected but a happy customer.

I am happy to sail on my own but would have to wait till March than for better sea state , Does any one know the nautical miles Liverpool to say Ramsgate? I would normally plan to cover 100 miles a day ?

You can do this using google maps - click maps labs (very small link, bottom left) then enable the distance measurement tool. When you click save changes you'll get a little ruler symbol in the bottom left corner of the map itself, next to the scale bar - click this to enable the distance measurement tool. Finally, click the 'I'm feeling geeky' link on the left and you can choose nautical miles. Sounds long-winded but actually it's quite easy.

Road will be way, way cheaper than sea delivery. Not sure why you paid so much for your boat to Spain. 3 years ago i had a similar size boat brought back from San Carles to Poole for just over £4k, so would have thought £6k plus lifts would be nearer the mark for your trip.

Expect Liverpool Kent to be around £2k plus lifts.

580nm = £2.5K in fuel plus around 30 hours on the engines and five or six days out of your diary assuming you don't get holed up with bad weather against maybe £3k to get it trucked.

It cost me £1200 to get a 38 footer from Southampton to largs 4 years ago
The boat was a none runner or I'd have driven it
Personally I'd take the trip as a holiday & sail her back if it costs the same to truck it as it does to sail it then your getting free boating time
I'd look at it as an adventure rather than a chore.

Perhaps consider taking it by sea, I have faced a similar scenario three times, I chose to go by sea every time, not because it was cheaper but because it was fun and I learned loads, I took a good pro with me so all good, fantastic memories, the three trips totalled aprox 70 engine hours combined

I was looking at a 60 foot Dutch barge for sale in Amsterdam...They gave me a quote on how much it would cost to get it back to London...£5000! Needless to say, I didn't buy it!

It is approximately 580 NM...

Pete

Using the path measuring tool on Google Earth gives a distance of approximately 660 statute miles! Perhaps there is a shortcut across country via navigable rivers and canals? If so you could cut this down to about 250 miles, but it would take a lot longer!

Geoff organised my boat move from Lincs to France. Excellent service. John, his driver, was superb. Arrived on time, delivered on time and was actively involved in the loading and unloading process.

No connection.
I agree, Jeff has moved us a couple of times. Cost us about £1200 from Cardiff to shepperton although don't forget the costs of taking it apart and putting it back together (possibly props, plus radar arch, screens etc plus crane costs). We just had our 'new' boat delivered by sea and she got damaged en route so there are pros and cons whichever you choose.

About 670 miles give or take, and if you pull into shore every one hundred miles it will be about a grand, at that rate you will need a tanker following. Do it by road let the lorry take the strain.
