Transducer - 'in hull' or 'through hull' identification please

I hope you can help identify what type of transducer this is.

Is it 'in hull' or 'though hull'?

The boat is in the water so I can't check the other side...and I don't want to take a cold chisel to it until I know which it is...for obvious reasons!

The instruments are marked Autohelm Tri Data. I have been told this is similar to ST50...is this correct?

All the through-hull transducers I've seen have a threaded portion that goes through the hull, with a nut that screws down it against the inside surface, like a seacock skin-fitting:

So I would guess this is an in-hull one.

Looks very much like my 'in hull' transducer, which was installed with an Autohelm ST30 Bidata system, circa 1992. Sits in a blob of sikaflex and still works fine.
