I seem to have got all mixed up. Originally i bought Tsunamis 99 but since i have got-
issue wf12 chart folio
issue wf27 folio
Navigator wf20
wf32 2006 folio
Do i install the original Tsunamis 99 then use the newest folio for charts?

The way it works is that you can install the latest version of the operting program as a free update but you have to pay to update the charts.

When you purchased TS99, you would have received a multi digit number that should be used with the chart collection released with it, not the latest charts. It's worth having the latest
operating program as it has the proper tides and currents (if you bought the "pro" version.
Chart updates tend to be quite expensive, especially as Transas now don't seem very interested in yachts.

Cheers

IIRC there is a chart utility or catalogue in one of the start menus. I think it has options to "load all licensed charts" or, if you know the folios you have purchased, you can select them and enter the number given with the CD when prompted. You might have to point the utility to the latest CD to get it to see it, but I'm sure there is a way.

Again IIRC the number relates in some way to the dongle and the CD in use - no idea how, it just works!

I upgraded to the Navigator version a few years ago and updated the charts at the same time. That's why I'm a bit vague.
Now I'm used to it, I love it. It did take a while to get to grips with route planning, particularly with TS99, but now it's a doddle.

Hope that helps

Cheers

I've just re read the originmal post.

Do you mean you have purchased Navigator as well? It's a lot different in set up.

Cheers

Yes sorry, We had a baby hence not used the boat for over a year so thats why i can't remember what does what. Started with TS99 then upgraded and got Nav Pro then last year got the chart updates.Main problem is when i insert the chart update CDs it gives a choice of 'readme' or 'exit' How do i put the latest version (well last years) on??

Unless there is anything else just exit that dialogue.
Try running "Chart Catalogue" found in the start up menu, assuming Navigator is installed correctly.
When it's ready select the icon with a CD symbol found near the top left. The tooltip (hover over) says "Load a chart collection". The Chart CD has to be in the drive ready.
Follow the instructions from there.

PM me if that doesn't help.

Good luck

Spoke to Transas Germany but all very confusing...Nav pro is loaded, i have downloaded the Nav thing off their website but when i insert the WF32 disks (2006 updates) i can't get them to update??? A message pops up something about i reqr. newer version of catalogue.
