I had trouble with nav pro on the old laptop while away sailing so bought a new laptop but it only has USB ports & the nav software has a serial dongle.
Phoned Transas (Europe) and very good service they sent out overnight a usb dongle BUT i had to pay £150 or maybe euros?? on top until they recieved the serial dongle. I sent it to them some months ago but the money is still not back in my account.
Keep getting sent to various offices around Europe!
What is the way forward?

There are usb to serial adaptors that cost only £5 to £10 try on ebay

yes...but it was the serial dongle that was bust.

The thing is, that when they send out a new dongle, it is like sending out another licensed and usable copy of the software. The 150 sheckles is really a deposit to make sure they get the old one back.

Obviously something got fouled in their system. At least it's now sorted.
