Training cruise to France, 4 day.

My dear fellow!

There are many forumites on here that have businesses.

I for one own a RYA Training School for Sail and Power, practical and theory, a Charter Business, and our 'Skipper's' are always taking out 'twitcher's' and photographers on trips around the Solent, and the historical tours of the harbour and surrounding sites of interest.

We have a Pirates of the Solent weekend for The Cardiomyopathy Association in June this year. Loads of stuff going on.

But,

None of us will ever, 'Blatantly' advertise on here.

The OP is a guy looking for like minded people to join him on a trip on a ketch.

Just Chill my old fruit bat!

If you decide to come back, come back with your tail between your legs.

If it was taken as a advertorial it would have been pulled!!

There, said, no beggar off!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Whoooops, the idea of this post was to get some like minded types together to sail with. That said lots of people have been in touch and we are off together. Should be fun, no one is getting rich, or earning money the boat is beautiful, it should be a mini adventure and thanks to this wonderful site its going to happen, whats more I will get to meet and spend time with a group of people from the site, isn’t this what this is about.

I will of course fill you all in on the finer points of my little adventure upon my return.

Should any one be offended then I unreservedly apologise.

Contact me for easy payment terms, only kidding.

Good grief

Mr koolie.

Your post dated 27/02/2007 that sates the following:.

I think this forum is great the way it brings to the attention of new sailors the wide diversity of things for sale, and the help you can find.

Cleary demonstrates that on the 27/02/2007 your motives were the same as mine, what has happened since then for the 180 degree change of thought.

Re: Good grief

I've only just started catching up in here after a hard day out of the office working and I think I can see what's happened here straight away . Look at the time of the initial post , then the next , and the next , the ammount of time between each post suggests that this was rapidly moving down the post listings so I think that maybe , just maybe , someone was trying to keep people interested in the post /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif . Just a thought .

and no it wasn't me , wish it was cos it would have meant that I didn't spend the day in a quarry /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Re: Good grief

the way I read it there were loads of posts pushing this thread down , so by making his initial comment maybe he was trying to help keep it near the top . I don't know ,, I wasn't here ,, so just an opinion ,, a possibility ?

Re: Good grief

Not you too , oh dear .

Right , for those of us that don't get hours and hours , every day , sitting at a computer , if a post is made and ignored as others reply to other posts , the post goes down the list fast and when we get on here it seems nobody else is interested so no point looking at it , so if someone kicks up it starts an argument / discussion , and the post stays near the top of the list so it's more visible and worth having a look

any clearer ??

Re: Good grief

Now I understand what you were trying to do with your "What Happens" post

did you ever think it had a cat in hells chance of working <g>

Re: Good grief

Thanks , but I suppose I'm fighting a losing battle
