Trailer query

Evening all. I have an opportunity to buy a 27ft twin axle de graaf trailer. The info plate says complete permitted load c+s 1600kgs. Then upto 3000kgs. Would this be suitable to load a 2880kg dry weight boat? Thanks

Perhaps a photo of the compliance plate would help. Or very carefully copy out the specific wording of the plate. ol'will

I am tempted to suggest that 1600kg is the max individual axle load and that 3000kg is the max gross weight


If 3000kg is the max gross weight then it will not be suitable for a load weighing 2880 kg

Although not so sure what the 1600kg refers to I would expect the largest number on the plate to be the max gross weight

A photo of the VIN plate with the weight stamps is needed, also where you intend to use it. If presumabaly on the public highway, details of the proposed towing vehicle also.

You quote the dry weight of the boat, might be an idea to find the actual weight. Sounds like the gross weight is 3000kg, The trailer weight will be on the plate and it likely to more than the difference between your boat and the gross.
