Trailer Arm Extension

Can anyone offer any advice on making an extension for my trailer. I want to launch my boat down a steep incline, so I am considering fitting an extention arm to go from the car tow bar to the trailer hitch. Or is this something I can buy.

Thanks Chris

One way of doing it may be to use a winch to let your trailer run down the slope and then winch it back up. Towsure www.towsure.co.uk do very cheap but good winches and they have one which fits to the tow hitch on the car. At £29.95 its not too expensive. They also have jockey wheels which clamp to the frame of the trailer. Hope this helps. Daveb.

I've seen one used at the slipway at the boat park in Swanage.
It's a length of box section with a normal hitch on one end to fit the tow ball on the car, the other end has a tow ball and a pair of wheels.
