Afternoon all,

I may have asked before so apologies if I'm repeating myself but with Tarquin no longer doing business, does any clever soul know the RAL code for Trader motorboats? Particularly ones around the 2002 vintage.... (2002 Trader 47 Sundeck)

Many thanks folks,

Nick

Can't help, but in any case the original gelcoat will no longer be the original color.

Time, sun weather et al will have faded the surface so you are in the 'car painters dilemma' when a car need paint repair. Thus these people have solutions/devices to detect the actual surface and state the color code, and would be my suggestion.

There are apps for smartphones to do this also, but I'd refrain from taking chances

Yeah thanks for that.. 20 years of sunshine and I'd say the topsides haven't had a whole lot of protection / care lavished on them so there'll certainly be a difference I'd say..

But how to find someone with such wizardry is the tricky bit.

Any decent GRP repairer will be able to mix a white gelcoat to match your faded original.
