As one who does boat shows globally for a living, this is the ONLY show I make time to attend AND pay to get in, Is anyone else going?

We are passing back downstream through Henley when this is on during our 2 week cruise. I was hoping to moor up overnight just downstream / opposite Temple Island. Am I right to assume that it should be normal mooring restrictions & prices during the trad boat rally, as I know you can't moor there during the regatta or music festival (not without paying a fortune anyway.)

Will keep an eye out for you, about to come back for a months holiday (need a month in case the locks are busted)

Should be back to normal that week although some of the regatta course booms will still be in place so not all the moorings will be accessible.

It is a fab show and we have been a few times.

Well worth staying over as the band on the evening is usually superb too.

We will be there on the first day. look for the small signs fixed to the fencing adjacent to the moorings as they advise the price, £12 per night I think. We have moored opposite to the show when it has been on, was plenty of space a few years ago. Hobbs now manage the moorings below the bridge, can pay online or they come and collect the money.

Hi, yes we hope to visit, however due to the Reduced moorings, and even though my boat is of a similar age to some of the exhibits, it appears it would no be welcome at the show as it is made of fibre glass and not a classic.
So we will take the car and hope for good weather.

Fawley Meadows is rally entrants only.
However the rest of the reach is open for business as usual.

If you are moored on the park in town then use the Hobbs water taxi from town to the site, free of charge as I recall.

I will also take the car which just so happens to be a Riva....of the Fiat Abarth variety ;)

Not sure yet but I may turn up to the trad rally in the launch. No plans as such but it could happen. Quite a nice bit of the River just to go up and down for the day with ones boating blazer.

Not a terrible thought.

I know one who isn't. No names but it's a very long slipper launch built in 1930. Apparently they are to be charged£130 to be there. Seems odd. Are they all paying?

I would imagine there is a charge to exhibit / enter I can’t see the thing paying for itself otherwise.

We moored almost opposite the rally yesterday afternoon, fair amount of space but some of it blocked by the piling companies barges etc.
Very slow getting through hambledon lock with a long queue and lots of Dunkirk little ships to admire, took over an hour to get through the lock.

Had a lovely few hours by myself today. Took the land yacht (Riva Abarth hull number 527!) which is no fun anymore with smart motorways everywhere ! But had my annual fix of varnish.

Nearly purchased a hand stitched ensign at 1.5 yards but the card machine was down !! 75 quid saved !

Very busy and just nice to see so many people enjoy the riverside.

On a side note I’ve never known so many Americans in Henley?! Very different states too judging by the many accents. Literally every other person. Most odd.

Ha ! Red. Although I have just seen a white flying under RYS moored outside Richmond Yacht Club ! On a Haines no less.
