Just answering my own question.
Depends on the model but your Beach 2 will take 8 hp

I had a go with one once with a Torqueedo on the back.
Worked fine - as I say, we use ours as a toy so don't need an outboard.

But yachtie friends use DinghyGos as tenders.
All ours are the same DinghyGo model - the transom seems strong enough though.
