Hi,
My Twister has a few battle scares on the Hull from previous manoeuvres over the years. That said her hull looks really nice and clean with a good shine. It is not however her original gelcoat. Ive no idea what paint is on, but it has been on there for 20 years at least. So I want to sand and fill her scars, and the paint the damaged areas only. Any suggestions on what paint to use with which pigments to mix with to match colour. do I use a primer ?. Any advice appreciated.

I don't know but the technical departments of paint manufacturers could advise you.

By the way, many years ago I considered painting the hull of my 55-year old Twister, which was looking dull and had a few deep scratches but a boatbuilder told me I would regret it if I did. Instead I discovered gelcoat filler, oxalic acid and Cif. Using these I achieved a pretty good, low maintenance result and she still scrubs up nicely every spring.
