Now that the clocks are set to go back and winter is drawing in I thought you guys might appreciate some pics of a recent channel crossing trip I did on the last weekend in September when the weather was superb (remember that one??!). I took my Targa 40 over to St Peter Port together with some friends who took their 27' Scorpion Rib. It was a cracking "splash and dash" weekend trip and I can't believe it was only a few weeks ago. Aside from a few Jersey boats which left early on Sunday, Victoria marina was dead quiet and it was great to be able to berth anywhere we wanted too. Herm was just drop dead gorgeous, although the ice cream hut at Belvoir was shut..!
Anyway hope this works, here goes:
Leaving Torquay at Sunrise
Nearly half way there
Stopped for a quick break and a good look at CLV
Scorpion playing in the wake
In Victoria marina
View over to Herm
Leaving St Peter Port for Herm
Arriving at Belvoir
Could be the middle of summer!
Homeward bound to Torquay with a quick stop at CLV again
I love taking my boat to the CI's and France and am looking forwards to next year already!
Hope you enjoyed them.
