So I'm a...what do you call us, "raggie" or is it WAFI, and I just spent the last few days racing my 49er skiff in Torbay Week in what was, apart from Saturday, a fairly light wind, tactical event. Excessive wash can be a nightmare, stopping the boat dead in it's tracks as the bow scoops a load of water into the boat and loosing you places.

So THANKYOU to at least 3 of you "stinkies" who stayed well out of the way with a big course alteration, slowed right down, or in one case stopped dead and waited for a minute or two for us to crawl our way upwind in tedious conditions. Much appreciated!

(It was'nt all tedium, on the Saturday we would have been giving you a run for your money at speeds over 20 knots!)

But anyway, thanks again guys!

What a nice post:)

Glad some cretin didn't come zooming past before you wrote it. We know they are out there......

As an ex skif jockey I am very jelous of 20 knts lol.

Saw you guys out there over the weekend and commented to SWMBO how quick you were going.

The simple fact is there are far more friendly courteous and considerate yatchies & motor boaters than there are complete dicks! We all share the water and by and large are respectful of each other.

Many thanks for such a positive post

Not saying I was one of them (maybe we were !) but we have been out and about in the bay since Saturday and interestingly enough it's reading the negative type of posts like this that has made us so much more aware of "our" fallout that we try to be good neighbours and it's nice to read a positive comment than another them and us post.
