Appears to be 8mm
Is there anything else on the Longbow that will be 8mm haven't checked yet as Im not at the boat til monday
but was wondering if it was worth buying the 47mtrs option which is not a great deal more

Could be several 8mm lines, it is unlikely to be wasted if you buy it. I would buy it.

8mm is fine, braid on braid and use the halyard knot I suggested. Think you will find the other halyards are 10mm and sheets either 10mm or 12mm. So when replacing those worth buying 100m reels.
